Terms
The terms under which Pliure is made available.
What is on offer, and what is not
Pliure is software in development. It is run by individuals on their own machines, for their own data. There is no hosted service, no account to open, no subscription and nothing sold. This website describes the software and nothing on it is an offer, a commitment to ship, or a promise that any feature described will exist.
These terms govern the use of this website and of the software by whoever installs it. Where an operator runs an instance, they do so as the controller of their own data, under their own responsibility.
Running an instance
An operator may connect only accounts they are entitled to connect. Connecting an account you do not own or control, or using Pliure to collect another person's data without their knowledge, is outside these terms and outside what the software is for.
Each operator is responsible for the security of the machine their instance runs on, for the credentials it holds, and for the agents they authorise against it. An agent credential grants read access to real personal data: issuing one is a decision with consequences, and it is the operator's decision alone.
Third party services
Pliure reads from services operated by others, including Google. Use of those services remains governed by their own terms, and an operator must respect them. Pliure's access depends entirely on authorisations the operator grants and can revoke at any time; nothing here extends or substitutes for the permissions those services define.
No warranty
The software and this website are provided as is and as available, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non infringement. Pliure is in development: it may be incomplete, it may stop working, it may fail to collect data, and it may answer wrongly or from stale data. Nothing it reports should be treated as authoritative without checking the source it came from.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, no liability is accepted for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damage, nor for any loss of data, of profit or of opportunity, arising from the use or the inability to use the software or this website. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, in particular liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Intellectual property
The Pliure name, the wordmark and the symbol belong to their author. Source code is governed by the licence that accompanies it, and where the two differ, that licence prevails for the code.
Changes
These terms may change. When they do, the effective date at the top of this page changes with them, and the previous wording remains in the public history of the repository this site is built from.
Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. Where a dispute cannot be resolved amicably, the competent French courts have jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory protection available to a consumer under the law of their country of residence.
Contact
These terms concern software people run themselves, so there is no support desk behind them. Questions about a running instance go to the person who operates it.
